I’m just getting used to this internet business, especially the blogging – well I say just, it’s been something of a phenomena for some time now. I suppose I am getting more familiar with it as time goes on and find it an excellent way to share opinions and ideas. The online community aspect of it I find particularly useful. So. Today’s topic for me? I think it’s time to share last year’s caravan park holiday with the online world.

You see, I’ve lived in Ireland for the past ten years and just moved back to the UK in Somerset to be closer to my daughter and grandkids. It was from one rural place to another but the difference was mainly in going from Ireland back to the UK. Which I must say has been exactly the right move for us as a family.

Anyhow, I have travelled in my time – I’ve seen most of Europe and some of Africa. But I haven’t done too much travelling in the past decade or so, and it struck me that I haven’t actually seen too much of England. So my daughter and son in law and the little kids were going on a caravan holiday which I was initially sceptical about, not having enough space to move around etc, I suppose I was a bit worried about being in the way. But they rented a wonderful caravan from some friends of theirs and there was enough space for everyone. And what a beautiful caravan park holiday it was! It was smashing to see the English countryside like that. I think my point is, there is much to see at home as well as abroad, and a caravan holiday turned out to be a wonderful way to bond with the family.
